Bernadette Connolly is the Coordinator of The Environmental Forum. The Environmental Forum acts as a catalyst to mobilise and deliver, through the process of Local Agenda 21, and guided by Local Agenda 2030, sustainable
development in the Cork region and nationally. The Forum provides training and education, helps shape and influence the development of pro-environmental policy and instigates and supports relevant projects that deliver solutions to environmental and cross- cutting challenges. Her own particular areas of interest are in water, biodiversity, the implementation of the Aarhus Convention and the broader policy area of planning. Bernadette has worked in the public, private and community development/ NGO sectors for almost four decades. During that time work, volunteerism and overseas development have resulted in residences in the UK, Australia and Lesotho.
